
In celebration of Trans Day of Visibility, the Multicultural Center invites you to A Lunch & Learn featuring Keynote Speaker LaSaia Wade (@lasaia_wade) on Wednesday, March 31st from 12-2 pm in the Student Center East Ballroom.
LaSaia Wade is an Afro Puerto Rican indigenous Transwoman and is the founder & executive director of Brave Space Alliance. She was recently honored at the Chicago LGBTQA Black History Recognitions ceremony and is the first Trans woman in Illinois history to be honored during Women’s History Month for her work in advocacy and community organizing. LaSaia has been in the community working to advocate for black, indigenous, trans and non-conforming people for 10+ years.
