Delta Airlines Says Workforce Diversity is Growing, but Still Has Gaps in Management Diversity: Delta's 2021 'Close the Gap Report' showed an increase in Black employees overall, but there has been a dip in senior roles that are already lacking diversity. “A picture of equity says that your leadership should look more like your front line, and our front line is extremely diverse.”

How racial, gender diversity in clinical trials can combat misinformation: The pandemic has highlighted the need for representative clinical trials to cover racial and gender differences--to protect a broader base of people, and to study more preventative care. Bolstering representation means reaching out into the community, and reaching out into the community provides the chance to combat medical misinformation.

Where Diversity Still Disappoints: Of the roughly 4,700 board seats at the 843 firms that have been backed by more than a dozen top venture capital and private equity firms — Andreessen Horowitz, Blackstone, Carlyle, Greylock, KKR and Sequoia among them — only 49 have been held by Black directors. That’s just 1 percent of thousands of positions, spanning more than 20 years, according to new research by the Board Diversity Action Alliance.

PBS And Ken Burns Vow To Do Better On Diversity But Critics Aren't Convinced: In responding to an open letter from filmmakers calling out PBS for a lack of diversity and over-reliance on Ken Burns, both Burns and PBS vowed to do better. PBS itself announced $11 million in diversity initiative grants, but signatories to the letter are skeptical as the initiatives don't set specific goals for diversity levels or reveal detailed information about diversity among major PBS projects.
