Participate in the first virtual Diversity Dialogue of the academic year on Wednesday, Sept. 22, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. in a presidential listening session on inclusive excellence and the faculty.
President M. Brian Blake will share insights from his history of leadership in diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) and then moderate an open dialogue with our administrative leadership on the state of faculty activities at Georgia State as we move toward inclusive excellence.
The roundtable discussion will conclude with a Q&A session with the virtual audience.
Please register for the session on the university’s DEI website by visiting https://dei.gsu.edu/diversity-dialogues/registration/. You can ask a question for the Q&A when you register.
The Diversity Dialogues series began last academic year as part of the action plan for the recommendations of the Task Force for Racial Equality, bringing together the university community to discuss ways to address racism and inequality.
The series expands this semester with the following events and topics:
- Oct. 21, noon to 1:30 p.m.: Sexual & Gender Minorities at Georgia State during Pride: Unpacking the Past and Envisioning the Future of our LGBTQI+ Community
- Nov. 16, noon to 1:30 p.m.: Student Leadership and Diversity Efforts (Ethics of Diversity)
