Georgia State graduates more African American students than any other public or nonprofit college or university in the United States.
Dear Prospective Faculty/Instructor,
Thank you for your interest in Georgia State University! We are excited to share more with you about our diverse student body and community. Georgia State graduates more African American students than any other public or nonprofit higher-education institution in the U.S. With our over 54,000 students, they come from more than 167 nations and territories and 3,000 international students we are proud of our diverse representation. With the cradle of the Civil Rights Movement next to our downtown campus, and multinational representation at our suburban Perimeter College campuses, diversity is part of our fabric.
Although we have a very diverse group of faculty at Georgia State, our goal is to have a better representation to reflect our diverse student population. Aligning with the goals of our Next Generation of Faculty Implementation Steering Committee our efforts and pipeline programming we are working with specific organizations, such as the SREB Doctoral Scholars, McKnight Fellowship Program and the McNair Scholars to name a few to recruit well prepared faculty and graduate students.
