Overview
TRiO Student Support Services is designed to assist college students who are first-generation, demonstrate a financial need, and qualify to receive services from GSU Access and Accommodations Center. The TRiO Alpharetta Campus Student Support Services Project, entitled "Participation Produces Progression (P3)," is poised to increase the success of disadvantaged students seeking educational and socio-economic mobility. The program serves 140 participants and has three core objectives, increasing persistence, good academic standing and graduation and transfer rates.
Benefits
The program works to foster growth and individual success in each student’s personal and academic career. We promote this growth through additional advising, workshops, and events. Program staff also helps students achieve success by getting to know them on a personal level and advising them throughout their time at GSU Perimeter College, Alpharetta. When students are active in the program, it leads to higher GPA’s, graduation rates, and scholarship opportunities.
